The Nursery

Tranquility

In the summer months, sitting outside amongst the flowers or beneath the grapevine, many visitors enjoy sharing the space with the numerous butterflies and birds that visit the Nursery. It is a perfect way to relax after an afternoon pottering around the nursery, or just reading and relaxing.

Woodland Walk

Lower down on the site next to the paddock field we have a small area of woodland where at a later date we intend to create a short woodland walk. As many of our regulars say, time loses meaning when you visit us. Come here and experience that for yourself. We are sure there is pixie dust in the air here.

The Tearoom

The Nursery site also provides the popular Little Heath Tearoom operated by Miss Darmon, where (subject to COVID19 restrictions) you can sit and enjoy a delicious lunch with a french style, or simply a piece of home-made cake and a pot of tea in antique china or filter coffee. The Nursery is also home to DeJa Vu Vintage, selling antique mirrors, chandeliers and other architectural items.

Garden ambience amongst the wildness of nature.

For many years, the Nursery has specialised in and become known for Alpines. Alongside that many other plant species are grown on and sold. The nursery grows a wide range of hardy plants and herbaceous perennials, alongside shrubs, ferns and trees, with many unusual varieties scattered in many of the categories.

Recently refurbished over the past year. And new paths to wander!
The nursery has not lost its quiet charm, secluded amongst the trees it maintains an air of peace and tranquility.
Plant stocks are being replenished with the seasons, and I am sure these will continue to be different and unusual.
Looking forward to seeing it come back to life!

One of our favourite lunch places when we visited UK last year. THE best and interesting quiches. And cakes looked delicious, but as l have a sugar problem we only had the quiches.
Hope to get back one day.
